Pamela Anderson revealed a frightening past of abuse in a speech launching The Pamela Anderson Foundation at the Cannes Film Festival.

In her speech to 200 guests, the ‘Baywatch’ star shared that she “did not have an easy childhood.” She faced early trauma in a series of incidents of childhood abuse and rape, which she bravely spoke about at the inauguration of her new charity.

“Despite loving parents,” she shared (quotes via the Daily Mail.) “I was molested from age six by a female babysitter.”

Six years later, the actress faced even more abuse. She added, “I went to a friend’s house and his older brother decided to teach me backgammon, which led into a back massage, which led into rape … He was 25 years old and I was 12.”

When the 46-year-old was in her teens, her boyfriend of the time “decided it would be funny to gang-rape me with six friends ... I wanted off this earth.”

Pamela gave the heartfelt and honest speech in a flowing white Vivienne Westwood gown to launch her new foundation that “supports organizations and individuals on the front lines protecting the environment, animal rights and human rights.”

“My affinity with animals saved me,” the star explained of her passion, “they came to me naturally. The trees spoke to me ... My loyalty remained with the animal kingdom. I vowed to protect them and only them. I prayed to the whales with my feet in the ocean. My only real friends until I had children.”
