Post Malone Dancing to Shania Twain’s American Music Awards Performance Is So Relatable [Watch]
The 2019 American Music Awards had Shania Twain Come on Over to close out the show on Sunday (Nov. 24). The country singer's biggest hits had the crowd in an absolute frenzy, with artists of all genres on their feet, dancing and singing along.
But no one was enjoying themselves more than rapper Post Malone.
Malone (known for chart-topping singles "Sunflower," "Rockstar" and "Psycho") was in the front row as Twain delivered a stellar performance — a medley of her own hits after briefly covering acoustic versions of songs by Taylor Swift and Malone.
Malone didn't hide his dance moves, either — several TV cameras and an audience member caught the rapper rocking out to her iconic country tunes. Watch him lip-sync to the female empowerment anthem "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" with a drink in his hand.
The rapper was living his best life during the performance, and it's not the first time he's shown support for Twain. In the summer of 2019, Malone appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he revealed that there isn't a lot of madness backstage at one of his concerts; however, there is plenty of Shania Twain.
Twain performed Malone's song "Rockstar" during her medley performance, as well as "You're Still the One," "That Don't Impress Me Much," "Any Man of Mine" and the previously-mentioned "Man! I Feel Like a Woman." Her last performance on the American Music Awards stage was in 2003.
