Just when you thought it was safe to get back into the water, nature brings us...

Really Disgusting Clump of STINKY Seaweed Headed to our Texas Beaches just in time for Summer 2023!

You read that right! If you are a Texas beachgoer, you are likely going to run into this disgusting clump in the Gulf of Mexico this summer.

You won't believe how big this clump of stinky seaweed is!

According to CNN, the seaweed clump, which is named sargassum, is twice the width of the continental United States.

Oh, and it smells super disgusting too.

The super clump has been described as smelling like rotten eggs!

Yep, it's twice the width of the United States AND it smells like rotten eggs.

What is this nasty stuff?

The super disgusting clump is a collection of sargassum, a type of seaweed that floats on top of the water.

"The mass this year is expected to possibly bring a dump of harmful piles along the shores of Florida and other coastlines throughout the Gulf, which will dampen tourism season" CNN reports.

We can likely expect this nasty crap to hit our Texas beaches during prime summertime vacation days too.

Click2 Houston adds, "This year, the bloom could be the largest ever, spanning more than 5,000 miles from the shores of Africa to the Gulf of Mexico. It has reportedly doubled in size between December and January."

Just check out this Youtube video from KHOU11 explaining what we know about the clump headed to Texas now that it has wreaked havoc in Florida waters already!

We are talking 13 million tons of the stuff!

Just check out this video on Youtube from CLICK2Houston

Will this stop Texans from heading to the beaches this summer? NOPE!
