Registration to Vote in Texas Primary Runoff Ends Monday

The deadline to register to vote in the Texas primary runoff elections around the state is coming up on Monday.

You are not alone if you feel like it's difficult to keep track of all the changes to oh, everything these days! The switch on the runoff elections was made back in May when Governor Abbot moved them from May to July. With those coming up in just a few weeks the deadline to register to vote in them is just days away.

Of note around the state is the Democratic primary that will finalize two statewide races that include Sen. Royce West and Air Force Veteran MJ Hegar in the race for the U.S. Senate seat. The winner gets to face Sen. John Cornyn in November. The other runoff is the important seat on the Texas Railroad Commission to watch over the oil and natural gas industry in the state.

Both sides of the aisle will select runoff winners in congressional and legislative races.

Getting registered is easier than you may think. A few things to do ahead of the Monday deadline are as follows:

Check to make sure you are registered under your current and correct address.

Grab your Texas license and use this link to check your voter registration.

If it turns out you are not registered you can print off a registration application on the fly right here. If you mail this in, it must be postmarked by Monday the 15th.
