TX Woman Horrifically Shot in the Face During Violent Road Rage
One of my many day-to-day fears came to life for a Texas woman this week.
SIGNALING A DRIVER TO DIM THEIR LIGHTS
A woman in Forth Worth was shot in the face early Monday morning as she was driving. The woman had noticed a vehicle driving her way had its high beams on, so she flashed her lights to signal the driver to turn off their bright lights before they got too close.
A VIOLENT PASSING
The driver of the oncoming car shot the woman as they passed each other. The woman was struck in the face, however, she was still able to drive herself to get help. The woman pulled into a 7-Eleven and went inside seeking help. Police were called and officers and medical personnel were dispatched to the 7-Eleven around 3:45 a.m.
NO ARREST MADE
The woman was taken to the hospital and did not suffer life-threatening injuries. Law officials have not confirmed the motive but speculate the woman flashing her high beams may be the reason. The violent road rage subject has not been identified or arrested.
THE COMMON TRUTH OF ROAD RAGE
How many of us could honestly say we have never experienced road rage? *crickets* Yeah, not many. Road rage happens all the time, especially here in Texas.
TEXAS HAS ANGER ISSUES
In 2020, there were 1,383 road rage accidents in Texas. However, Texans aren't the only ones with anger issues. Between 2013 and 2020, road rage caused around 218 murders, according to Top Driver. In that same amount of time, road rage was responsible for 12,610 injuries, 37% of those incidents included a gun. The next time you feel some pent-up anger while driving, just breathe and go on with your day.
