EDM is where it's at on New Year's Eve this year. Skrillex, Calvin Harris, Afrojack, Avicii and Moby are among the electronic artists ringing in 2013 with live performances across the country.

Skrillex leads Detroit's NYE party at the Palace of Auburn Hills, where he performs with German EDM star Boys Noize and a handful of other dance acts. Skrillex might be today's biggest EDM act and has earned eight Grammy nominations in just the past two years for 'Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites' and 'Bangarang.'

Miami, the home of the annual Ultra Music Festival, is always a hotbed of EDM activity, and NYE is no exception. Kaskade and Nervo have performances lined up, while Calvin Harris headlines a show at LIV nightclub. Harris has been all over the charts in the past year with Rihanna's 'We Found Love' and his own hits 'Feel So Close,' 'Let's Go' with Ne-Yo and 'Sweet Nothing' with Florence Welch.

'Levels' performer Avicii is the big name for Anaheim's White Wonderland party, which also features Sebastian Ingrosso. Both artists opened select shows on this year's MDNA tour with Madonna.

New York City residents will have to choose from among a wide range of EDM concerts featuring Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Dada Life, Moby, RJD2 and Pretty Lights. Chicago gets Porter Robinson at the Congress Theater. You'll have to go to Mexico to catch global superstar David Guetta on New Year's Eve, but he has a show in Miami on Jan. 10.

There are so many options that the only real problem for EDM fans may be securing tickets, since many of the New Year's Eve events are already sold out.
