Shooting Incident Sends Two to the Hospital, Three Arrested

A night out turned violent on Friday, leading to a chaotic scene in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Police were called out after reports of gunshots and a person lying in the street.

When officers arrived, they found a 26-year-old man badly injured. It turns out, the trouble started at a nearby bar. As people were leaving, a fight broke out on the street.

According to reports, 26-year-old Jakob Martinez attacked a man with a weapon. Moments later 23-year-old Serena Alonzo and 26-year-old Maria Alonzo joined in the beating.

While witnesses tried to stop Martinez, he pulled out a gun and fired several shots. He missed the victim but accidentally shot Maria Alonzo in the leg.

All three were arrested. Jakob Martinez is facing charges for using a deadly weapon, while Serena and Maria Alonzo are charged with causing serious injuries. Maria was treated for her gunshot wound at the hospital before being taken into custody.
