2012 Bet Awards

Hell hath no fury like a Beyonce scorned. And as she made clear at Sunday night’s BET Awards, you’ll see her wrath even if it’s another R&B songstress — in this case, the IRS-embattled Lauryn Hill — who’s dissed.

It feels somewhat strange to follow a heartfelt tribute to a fallen legend like Whitney Houston with a strip club anthem like Tyga‘s ‘Rack City,’ but that’s how the cookie (that was the 2012 BET Awards) crumbled. While the performance was energetic and fun, it was a bit jarring coming after Cissy Houston’s heartwrenching ballad to her fallen daughter.

Hip-hop’s hottest stars stepped out tonight (July 1) at the 2012 BET Awards, posing for red carpet pictures prior to the show. Rhyme slingers like Big Sean, A$AP Rocky, Rick Ross and R&B hit makers like Elle Varner plus many more arrived at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Calif., for the big night in rap, R&B and hip-hop music.

Don’t let this face fool you. Samuel L. Jackson’s promo for the 2012 BET Awards is actually hilarious. So much so that we’ve watched the 22-second vid about 46 times.
