Sara Bareilles and Cyndi Lauper have collaborated with 'Today' show co-host Hoda Kotb to release a music video called 'Truly Brave' to raise money for pediatric cancer. The song is a lyrical mashup of Lauper's '1986 hit with Bareilles' 2013 single.
On Friday, singer Cyndi Lauper found herself stuck in the Buenos Aires airport after her flight was delayed.
Lauper, who is on a world tour, wasn’t the only traveler stranded and emotions were running high as cancellations and delays began to accumulate.
To defuse the tension, the 57-year-old singer commandeered one of the airport microphones and led a sing-a-long of her ’80s classic “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” as well as other hits form her career.
While Lauper’s impromptu concert didn’t get anybody home any faster, it did give them a great story to tell when they did finally get there. Read on to see video of Lauper’s free airport terminal show.
