October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. 'The Spirit Indestructible' singer Nelly Furtado is the latest pop star to join the fight against breast cancer by speaking up and lending her voice and her image to the cause.

Nelly Furtado didn't have to think hard when it came to figuring out a concept for the third video from her 'The Spirit Indestructible' album. Teaser footage from the 'Parking Lot' video features the singer and a group of backup dancers taking over a gritty parking lot full of unique automobiles.
Nelly Furtado and her team leapt into damage control mode when ‘Big Hoops (Bigger the Better),’ the somewhat out of character first single from ‘The Spirit Indestructible,’ tanked. The release date was pushed back to September (from June) and now, the second single, which is the title track, has dropped.
Nelly Furtado has teamed up with Nas to offer fans another new song called ‘Something,’ which is featured on Canadian singer’s forthcoming album, ‘The Spirit Indestructible.’
Don’t get us wrong — we love Nelly Furtado. But her performance of her new single ‘Big Hoops’ during the Billboard Music Awards fell a bit short of our expectations. With such big hits as ‘I’m Like a Bird’ and ‘Maneater,’ we were excited to see what the songstress had in store for us tonight.
Chart-topping artists Kelly Clarkson, Usher and Nelly Furtado have been added to the star-studded list of performers for the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. ABC will air the event live from Las Vegas at 8PM ET on May 20.
