Since Michael Bay decided to make Transformers: Age of Extinction his last directorial outing with the franchise, it’s been unclear just where the series is heading. We’d heard talk of Mark Wahlberg returning to continue the storyline that began with last summer’s film, but little else since then. Taking a cue from Disney’s Star Wars plans (along with every other major studio’s “expanded universe” attempts), Paramount has hired Akiva Goldsman to create a “writers room” and brainstorm new sequel and spinoff ideas.

'Transformers 4' has been busy filming in Detroit, setting up car chases, explosions and the like. Aside from the numerous photos of the newly designed autobots and decepticons -- the various leaked set videos -- director Michael Bay and team Paramount have yet to reveal any official looks at the new cast ... until now!

The ‘Transformers’ are back for two and a half hours worth of action in ‘Dark of the Moon,’ the third movie in Michael Bay’s mega-blockbuster franchise. Reviews for the movie have been a bit on the negative side; but with it already pulling in $13.5 million on Tuesday, it’s looking to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, movie of the year.
