Texas College Football Team Involved in Bus Wreck Injuring 4
A bus carrying the Abilene Christian University (ACU) football team was involved in a crash late Saturday night, leaving four people with minor injuries.
The incident occurred as the team was heading back to Abilene after a tightly contested game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Jones AT&T Stadium.
4 Injured in Wreck
The collision resulted in minor injuries to one player, two coaches, and the bus driver. All four were promptly taken to University Medical Center in Lubbock for treatment. Fortunately, their injuries were not severe, and they are expected to make a full recovery.
The ACU athletics department issued a statement expressing gratitude for the swift response and care provided by Texas Tech’s Director of Athletics, Kirby Hocutt, team physician Dr. Michael Phy, and the first responders on the scene.
Video Footage Reveals Crash Details
Details about the crash are still emerging. According to video footage posted on social media, the crash involved a white truck with significant front-end damage. As of Sunday, the Lubbock Police Department had yet to provide further updates on the incident.
