Texas is Home to 4 of the Rudest Cities in America
TEXAS ON THE RUDEST CITIES LIST
It's not all howdy and tippin' hats in Texas. The state known for it's southern hospitality is giving off the cold shoulder in a survey conducted by Business Insider and Survey Monkey. The duo teamed up to reveal the 50 rudest cities in the U.S. Here are the Texas cities that found themselves on the list.
DALLAS
6.9% of respondents identified Dallas as having the rudest residents, placing them among the rudest 50 largest cities in the U.S. Maybe the residents are cranky from all the Cowboy losses.
AUSTIN
The city known for it's litter and crowded sidewalks might be rubbing people the wrong way. Austin ranked 45 due to 6.6% of respondents perceiving it to have not-so-friendly residents.
HOUSTON
Houston gets a bad wrap due to it's crime, traffic, and road rage; and now it's continuing it's legacy as it's new "rude" label. Houston, TX, followed closely behind at the 46th spot, with 5.3% of respondents associating it with being rude.
SAN ANTONIO
Not even their delicious tortas and tacos could cheer this city up enough to avoid it's placement on the list. San Antonio holds the 48th position, with 2.3% of respondents believing it is full of rude residents.
TEXAS IS NOT NEARLY AS RUDE AS OTHER STATES
Although these 4 Texas cities were considered rude enough to be part of the top 50, they weren't nearly as rude as New York City, NY, which secured the first position on the list.
It's not a coincidence the ruder cities tend to be larger ones. Many factors like traffic play a large role in creating situations that may cause people to act rudely.
