Texas Teacher Accused of Secretly Giving Students Sleeping Aids
Texas parents are outraged after their young children revealed that a teacher was giving them sleeping aids during nap time.
Lisa Luviano has a young daughter who came home excited to show her a square blue patch she got from school. Luviano asked what the item was and was in disbelief at her answer, "She said, 'It is a sleeping sticker.' I asked, 'Where did you get this?' And she said, 'My teacher gives it to me for sleeping time,'" Luviano explained.
Luviano was in disbelief and quickly took action. "The next day, we went to the school. We brought the evidence up there, and we filed a report. We did say we wanted to file criminal charges if this is something that is true," Luviano said.
After not seeing any type of update or response from the school, Luviano decided to reach out to other parents to make them aware of the circumstances. When Najla Abdullah became aware of the situation she started asking her 4-year-old son if he ever received a "special sticker."
"He said, 'Yes, mommy. I get a special sticker.' I said, 'What does it look like?'"
Abdullah said her son described a similar patch as the one Luviano's daughter had described.

Parents are waiting for true answers and repercussions. Spring ISD issued a statement informing the public about the sleeping aid allegations adding, "These staff members were immediately removed from the classroom and placed on administrative leave pending an ongoing investigation by the Spring ISD Police Department."
"My trust was broken by this teacher we opened our hearts to," Luviano said.
