Texas Teen Accidently Killed by Step Mother in Driveway

In a tragic accident early Wednesday, a 19-year-old died after accidentally being run over by her stepmother.

A LATE-NIGHT STORE RUN

According to Alice Police Chief Eden Garcia, the accident occurred around 2:50 a.m. The stepmother stepped out to make a late-night trip to the store. However, after taking off, the stepmother realized that she had left her wallet at home. She then turned around and went back home.

THE TRAGIC ACCIDENT

Unfortunately, while pulling into the driveway, the victim Haley Brock, was lying in the driveway. Her stepmother did not see Brock and proceeded to pull in, tragically running her over. Brock was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, but despite medical efforts, she was pronounced dead around 3:30 a.m.

Chief Garcia has stated that the incident is being investigated as an accident. Preliminary findings indicate that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident. The investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
