A quiet morning in Texas turned violent in a way few people could have ever imagined.
A man accused of killing three people in Mabank, Texas, was later found after crashing his vehicle into a Buc-ee’s store in Ennis, Texas. The crash injured a woman inside the store, and the suspect then shot himself, according to officials.
Around 2:30 a.m. Friday, October 17, deputies with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting in a Mabank neighborhood. When deputies arrived, they found several people who had been shot.

Authorities later identified 29-year-old Christopher Kyle Reid Jr. as the suspect. Deputies asked the public to help locate him as the investigation continued.
A few hours later, officers found Reid more than an hour away in Ennis.
Police say that around 5 a.m., Reid drove his vehicle straight into the front entrance of the Buc-ee’s store. During the crash, his vehicle struck and pinned a woman in her 30s against a display near the entrance of the store.
After the vehicle came to a stop, officials say Reid shot himself in the head.
Reid was taken to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The injured woman was also taken to the hospital. Her injuries are considered non-life-threatening, and she is expected to recover. No other injuries were reported.
