The Return of the Mosquito Spray Brigade has Begun

Yes, we needed the rain but, like everything else, there's a trade-off. Now, we have the usual mosquito infestation that makes being outdoors so much fun. There is good news though...both the City of Victoria and Victoria County are sending in the cavalry.

Officials announced that mosquito spraying will begin to help eliminate those nasty little pests. In fact in the city, spraying has already begun.

City of Victoria officials began spraying last night, and in fact, I saw them in my neighborhood. Officials say it takes about 3 days for the spraying to be completed across the city and of course, that depends on the weather.

Officials remind residents that they can help reduce the mosquito population by not allowing standing water to remain, and by keeping your yard mowed regularly.
