United Way of Victoria - Tiny Library

Check out this week's delivery of Tiny Libraries with the United Way of Victoria County!

We want to thank Joshua Bonorden, who made this tiny library delivery part of a project completed by his team of Eagle Scouts who wanted to take part in the process. Moments after finishing the project it was already being enjoyed by a group of little ones anxious to enjoy readying.

These tiny libraries are popping up in our community daycares in the Crossroads as a way to help boost early reading among young people. We also want to thank Citizens Hospital for sponsoring the project. Joshua Bonorden managed the project with the Eagle Scouts and took care of the plans, designing the fabric and signage, and building and delivering the tiny library upon completion.

Each one of the tiny libraries comes with about 100 books that have been donated by the Public Library, Redbird Bookstore, and Texian Books. Tiny Libraries are a part of an ongoing effort by Victoria County United Way. There's additional information about Tiny Library including how to become a sponsor of future builds, hosting a library, or how to donate books by visiting this link.
