Victoria Farmers’ Market Is Open
Thank you to Meridith Byrd for keeping our community informed about the Victoria Farmers' Market.
Meridith writes,
"The Victoria Farmers' Market, held every Saturday at the Patti Dodson Center from 9am to 1pm is a critical, open air access point for fresh, healthy food in our community. We offer seasonal produce, meats such as chicken, turkey, beef and pork, eggs and a variety of homemade jellies, salsa, pickles and more! Indeed the products are out market are touched by far fewer human hands along the supply chain."
The Farmers' Market wants the public to know they continue to gather new information daily and follow recommended guidelines to reduce the community risk, and they have taken additional precautions for all of our safety, including disinfecting throughout the day. Food handling gloves are provided to vendors who wish to use them. There is a hand washing station provided for vendors and customers. The Imagination Playground kids are has been removed and no samples will be given at this time.
Meridith adds," Customer's should point to the items they want and let only our vendors handle food."
This is an opportunity to support our farmers and small business vendors. See you Saturday at the Victoria Farmer's Market!
The Farmer's Market is an official program of the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent , farmers often donating goods to the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent. They are a community helping feed everyone in our community.
