Victoria Municipal Court Open Docket Could Mean Amnesty for People with Outstanding Fines
If you've ever had a traffic or other fine that you couldn't afford to pay for whatever reason, you know what trouble that can be, especially when they go unpaid and the amount increases, or there ends up being a warrant issued as a result. That situation could change thanks to an Open Docket program from Victoria Municipal Court.
Under the once a month program, people with outstanding tickets or warrants could have them resolved through payment plans or other options including community service.
The goal is to keep people from going to jail for not paying fines that add up. The Open Docket takes place the 4th Monday of each month except this month, since it falls on Christmas Day. More information is available by calling 361-485-3050.
