Here is one of the most Texas things that you will see today!  In a video that has started to go viral, you can see a woman 'escorting' a possum out of the Legendary Banita Creek Dancehall in Nacogdoches, Texas. BTW. Axe em Jacks, my daughter is graduating from SFA this year! This waitress just grabbed the possum by the tail and casually took it outside. Only in Texas!

Speaking of Texas Dancehalls, we dearly miss the Legendary Schroeder Hall!! Schroeder Hall announced the hall closure last year and had their final show on December 31st, 2022 with a SOLD-OUT show with Giovanni and the Hired Guns.

There is so much history within the walls of Schroeder Hall. My absolute favorite part of Schroeder Hall is the back wall with all the autographs. The amount of musical history on those walls is absolutely incredible  Including the spot where Charlie Robison bumped his head on the low ceiling on his way to take the Schroeder Stage. Here is a snapshot of some new guy's autograph back in 2011. Maybe you have heard of Cody Johnson?  If only these walls could talk.

From the early days of  Ray Price, George Jones, Ernest Tubb, Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson to the more recent shows of Aaron Watson, Old Dominion, and Midland. As of late they have also given us comedy, and rock shows featuring Saliva and Everclear and even Tejano shows with David Lee Garza and Jay Perez just to name a few.  Schroeder Hall has brought so much music and history and we are very thankful for that!   Let's take look back at some live shots from shows at Schroeder Hall thanks to Danny Vivian Photography!
