It’s been almost 30 years since Spaceballs hit theaters, and Rick Moranis is finally back under the (dark) helmet. Watch the beloved star come out of retirement to reprise his role as Dark Helmet in a clip from Wednesday’s Goldbergs episode.

Yahoo shared a first look at the May 9 “Spaceballs” episode, which features Moranis returning to voice the villainous Dark Helmet during a dream sequence of Adam Goldberg (Sean Giambrone)’s. The scene finds Helmet storming Adam’s bedroom to battle with the Schwartz, but devolves into a familiar-looking pitch session for an actual Spaceballs sequel. As show creator Adam F. Goldberg explained in the initial announcement, contributing to Spaceballs II is a real-life goal of his. Watch the clip below:

Moranis last acted onscreen in 1997’s Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves, and famously left the acting world to focus on his family. Goldberg claimed to have “courted Moranis for several weeks to get him to say ‘yes,’” especially as the actor notably declined even a brief cameo in the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot. Moranis did reprise his Second City role as Canadian doofus Bob McKenzie for a benefit last year, but has otherwise expressed no plans to return to acting full-time.

Here’s hoping Moranis makes a comeback eventually, but you can watch the full Goldbergs episode in the meantime on May 9.
