The boys are officially back in town. After revealing that the long-awaited third entry into the Bad Boys movie franchise would begin filming earlier this month, Will Smith has shared the first look at himself and co-star Martin Lawrence in costume.

"FIRST LOOK!" Will wrote in an Instagram post shared on Wednesday (Jan. 30.) "Theeeeey’re BAAAAaaaack! :-) @badboys"

The post included a boomerang of Will and Martin in character as detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, respectively, looking ready to hit the streets and get into more trouble in Miami. Not much is known about the film just yet, though a previous post from Will revealed the official title to be Bad Boys for Lif3.

An unconfirmed report from Production Weekly's Jan. 3 issue states that the film will follow “the Miami PD and its elite AMMO team’s attempt to take down Armando Armas (Jacob Scipio), head of a drug cartel.”

The description continues, “Armando is a cold-blooded killer with a vicious, taunting nature. He is committed to the work of the cartel and is dispatched by his mother to kill Mike (Will Smith). Paola Nuñez will take on the role of Rite, the tough and funny criminal psychologist who is the newly appointed head of AMMO and Mike’s former girlfriend—and the one who got away.”

Other names scheduled to appear are Vanessa Hudgens and Alexander Ludwig, and Joe Pantoliano will be reprising his role as Lowrey and Burnett’s boss. Bad Boys For Lif3 is set to hit theaters on Jan. 17, 2020.
