Mary J. Blige can do no wrong in our book. The veteran songbird comes through with another visually-stunning video for ‘Mr. Wrong,’ the latest single from her LP ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act 1).’ The clip features Blige in several different glamorous outfits and wigs that are reminiscent of her style during the ‘My Life’ album period.

The video opens up to Blige in a music box as she sings about loving a bad boy despite him treating her so bad. The singer goes through various wardrobe changes including a curly mohawk and a blond hairstyle looking like Marilyn Monroe.

The only thing wrong about this video is that Drake, who appears on the track, is mysteriously absent. What’s up with that? Did Drizzy turn down the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul? Now he’s truly Mr. Wrong, if he did that.

He wasn’t really needed, as Blige and her background dancers held it down. Near the end of the video, Blige and her bodacious team drop it low and pump their fists in an excellent choreographic performance of femininity and power.

Filmmaker Diane Martel directed the ‘Mr. Wrong’ video and just like Blige’s previous clip for ‘25/8,’ it’s beautiful and empowering.
