As holidays go, Thanksgiving sure has its share of odd traditions. Live parades with lip-synched musical numbers! Mincemeat pies and Jell-O molds! Grandma Ruthie removing her dentures at the dinner table! Not even the President of the United States is spared his share of the inanity. C

Love him or hate him, we can all agree that Bush showed excellent reflexes when he dodged the shoe, which was headed straight for his face.

Those reflexes got another test during Monday night's baseball game between the Texas Rangers and the Chicago White Sox.  Bush was sitting in a front row box when a foul ball headed in his direction.  While he did flinch a little bit, the 43rd president basically maintained his cool (as opposed to some of the other folks who were in the box) and allowed the ball to bounce harmlessly in front of him.
