British boy band the Wanted have signed on to help out with the lighting ceremony of the famed torch this July to start the highly-anticipated London Summer Olympic games that so many look forward to every year.

Leading up to the torch lighting, the Wanted will be featured in an ongoing series or concerts and performances which coincide with the Olympic Torch Relay, set to begin on May 25. The ‘Glad You Came’ dudes will be making appearances all across Great Britain, including stops in Cardiff, Wales, Glasgow, Scotland and Leeds, England, concluding with the final torch lighting at Hyde Park on July 26. Other acts involved in the ceremony include Mark Ronson, Katy B, Dizzee Rascal, You Me At Six and Eliza Doolittle.

Rumors have been buzzing around the internet that One Direction will also partake in the London Summer Olympics festivities. However, when questioned about the truth of the talk, the band didn’t confirm nor deny their involvement.

Those who cannot wait until July to see the heartthrobs do their thing can tune in next week to ‘American Idol‘ to see them perform live on the show, followed by their April 25 appearance on ‘The View.’
