24-year-old Esmeralda Salas was leaving a San Antonio convenience store when she was approached by a group of people. As Salas began to walk across the store's parking lot several people, among those included 20-year-old, Jeremiah Villareal.

According to a witness, the group was accusing Esmeralda Salas of stealing shoes from one of them in a previous burglary. A surveillance camera caught the next few moments.

Video captured showed Villareal pulling out a semi-automatic handgun. Within seconds, Villareal aimed his gun at Salas and shot her multiple times, then quickly ran away.

FACING MURDER CHARGES

An ambulance quickly arrived, but Salas died on her way to the hospital. Villareal was located and arrested. He awaits a murder charge and has his bond set at $250,000.
