10 Tips for a Safe and Fun Texas Tubing Experience
Summertime in Texas means tubbing the Guadalupe, and several other Texas rivers, which just seem to be the perfect backdrop for this time of year. However, it's important to remember to do it safely. Sometimes a quick checklist can provide some helpful reminders for you and your friends about to head out on the river.

A Reminder to Always Put Safety First
Over the weekend up in Guadalupe county, KVUE reports that tragedy struck on Sunday when a father rescued his two sons from the strong currents in the river located southeast of Seguin, Texas. While the father was able to get his two sons to safety, the current overtook him. A bystander saw what was happening and entered the river in an attempt to help. Both adults were then swept away by the current just before 9 P.M. on June 13th. The woman's body was later found under the water, and authorities are still searching for the father. Police are still combing the areas outside of Seguin near FM 1117 close to the Guadalupe River Bridge to try and locate the missing man.
