This morning NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, announced that the Super Bowl will open to 22,000 fans of which 7,500 of those guests will be vaccinated health care workers courtesy of the NFL to thank and honor them for their continued extraordinary service during the pandemic.  They will receive free Super Bowl tickets and gameday experiences directly from the NFL. These healthcare workers will come from hospitals and healthcare systems in Flordia.  The NFL will also be recognizing health care heroes from around the country throughout the broadcast.

Safety precautions will be enhanced.  These protocols include mandatory mask-wearing, social-distancing, and other measures to prevent the spread of the virus. This includes podded seating, touchless in-stadium experiences at concessions, restrooms, and security checkpoints, as well as controlled entry.

Healthcare workers are the official heroes of the pandemic!  Thank you so much for what you do, especially those who work directly with COVID patients, including my wife.  I see how tired she comes home and how much stress this has added to her job.  She sees the very dark side of COVID on a weekly basis.  With all this added stress, she continues to be a wonderful wife and mother of a sophomore in college and a 6th grader. She has also recently gone back to school as she continues her college journey from an RN to Masters's Degree with her Bachelor's Degree in the middle!  All of this and she made the Dean's List!  She also defeated COVID back in March after suffering some pretty severe symptoms for three of those days.  She deserves to be hailed a hero.

THANK YOU HEALTHCARE WORKERS FOR WHAT YOU DO!!!
