Massive Bird Destroys Texas Military Jet Causing It To Crash Down
Last year a military jet made a crash landing, destroying multiple homes in Lake Worth, Texas. A newly released video show exactly what caused everything to change from routine training to a crash landing in broad daylight.
FATHER AND CHILD NEARBY
Chris Cellar and his 9-year-old daughter were hanging out in their living room when out of nowhere a jet landed just inches from them. The impact was so hard Cellar described the moment the crash happened, " when it came through it blew everything from the kitchen this way," as he motions toward his living room.
Cellar's father who was at the store when the crash happened said, "It was very scary, we could've lost him," his voice trembles, "we could've lost my granddaughter..." The home was destroyed and video shows the military jet destroyed and burnt right next to multiple homes.
BIRD DAMAGES MILITARY JET
A video from inside the cockpit shows a normal flight above Lake Worth. Suddenly, you see a massive 4-pound vulture flying toward the jet, and in a split second, it goes off camera where it gets sucked into the engine. Immediately alarms sound as the pilot prepares for a crash landing.
Over the radio you hear the pilot saying, "We are trying to make it to the runway," then he quickly decides, "Yeah, we're not gonna make it. We're gonna eject." The jet quickly descended to the ground.
PILOT'S EJECTED NEARBY
The two pilots aboard quickly ejected themselves from the jet. The other pilot was found in a nearby neighborhood, police said at the time. One pilot landed in a nearby neighborhood while the other was tangled in a power line and suffered burns.
The plane damaged three homes and scared many others. Luckily, no one was seriously injured. Check out the video moments before the jet is damaged.
