It’s not every day you see a black bear roll through a gas station in North Texas, but here we are.

A young black bear was caught on camera at a gas station in Savoy, Texas, about 70 miles north of Dallas. The bear is seen casually trotting towards the gas pumps as a car sits nearby. The bear roams around for a while longer and eventually turns around and heads back into the wild.

Another video shows a man walking away from the gas station, completely unaware that a black bear is wandering around behind him. To be fair, the bear looks just as uninterested in the man.

Texas Parks and Wildlife confirmed the sighting and says this kind of wandering isn’t that unusual right now. Apparently, this time of the year is when young bears break off from mom and start figuring life out. Sometimes that means they end up somewhere totally random, like next to a Slushie machine or at pump 2 waiting to fill their tank.

Officials are reminding folks: stay chill, give the bear space, and definitely don’t try to feed it (even if you’ve got leftover breakfast tacos in the car). Black bears usually aren't looking for trouble and will move along if they’re not crowded.

If you do spot one, report it to Texas Parks and Wildlife or a Texas Game Warden because while it's a wild sight, it's also something they’re tracking. Just remember: this is their home too... even if it overlaps with pump number 2.
