The fierce rivalry between Texas and California is continuously being fueled. It's no secret that Texas has become the "It Place." According to reports, Texas is the #1 state people are moving to, and California is the #1 state people are leaving. Not only are residents from other states flocking to Texas, but so are huge tech companies like Tesla and HP.

INSENSITIVE, DISTASTEFUL, AND HIGHLY ANONYMOUS

This week images of a California billboard went viral, not because it was exciting, instead, it was because of how insensitive, distasteful, and anonymous it was. The billboard warns people NOT to move to Texas.

The billboard reads, "The Texas Miricle Died in Uvalde, Don't Move To Texas." The insensitive billboard uses the devastating tragedy in Texas that took 22 lives, including 19 children, to deter California residents from moving to Texas.

ONLINE USERS FURIOUS

People online were infuriated. One user described it as "pretty f—king evil," another said it was, "the most disgusting use of political propaganda" on the Los Angeles subreddit

WHO PAID FOR THE BILLBOARD?

The billboard also had a giant red "X" over the famous Texas slogan, "Don't Mess With Texas." The party responsible for the billboard is still unknown. People are torn trying to figure out who could have possibly decided to design and pay for the billboard.

Some users believe it could have come from a California-based client, as their way to try and keep residents from leaving. However, others believe it could have come from a Texas client, who is trying to keep Californians away from the Lone Star State.

Regardless of where the billboard originated from, it is a disgusting use of power to use an absolute tragedy for propaganda.
