The tournament where catching a tagged redfish could literally change your life.

One Tag, Huge Rewards

From May 24 to September 1, CCA Texas releases at least 60 red-tagged and 60 blue-tagged redfish into the coast. Catch one, clip the tag, release the fish, bring it to a weigh station, and BOOM: you’re in the running for the big prizes.

Red Tag Division:

2025 CCA Texas STAR – Tagged Redfish Division Prizes

1st – 5th Place:

• Win a 2025 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew Cab
• 23′ Haynie Amigo boat with:
  • Mercury 150HP L Pro XS Optimax motor
  • Coastline trailer
• Youth winners (under 16 years old on the day of the awards ceremony) will receive the full boat package and a $25,000 scholarship instead of the truck.

6th – 10th Place:

• Win a 23′ Haynie Amigo boat with:
  • Mercury 150HP L Pro XS Optimax motor
  • Coastline trailer

Blue Tag Division:

1st – 3rd Place:

• Win a 2025 Tran Sport Boat 220 SVT CAT (Raised Center Console) with:

4th – 5th Place:

• Win a $2,000 Academy Sports + Outdoors gift card

6th – 10th Place:
