Now this is not the kind of “boost” you expect from your morning energy drink.

A recall is going viral after a packaging screw-up caused some Celsius energy drinks to actually be filled with vodka — and not just any vodka, but High Noon vodka seltzer.

Imagine shotgunning a Celsius right before the gym, and you're just drunk squatting and giggling the entire time. So if you’ve been sipping that Sparkling Blue Razz Celsius and thinking it tasted a little “off”... yeah, it might’ve been spiked.

Celsius and High Noon don’t even come from the same company, but they do share a third-party can supplier. Somewhere along the line, a batch of empty Celsius cans got sent to High Noon’s facility. High Noon then unknowingly filled them with booze, packed them into their 12-pack Beach Variety packs, and shipped them to stores.

"Some of these packs contain cans that are filled with High Noon vodka seltzer alcohol and are mislabeled as CELSIUS® ASTRO VIBE™ Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition with a silver top," the FDA said.

The recall affects a limited batch, but the FDA says to check your drinks either way.

If you’ve bought:

  • Celsius Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz with a silver lid (normal ones have black lids)
  • Lot codes: L CCB 02JL25 2:55 to 3:11
  • Or you picked up a High Noon 12-pack between July 21 and July 23 in FL, NY, OH, SC, VA, or WI. Check the box for these codes:
    • L CCC 17JL25 14:00–23:59
    • L CCC 18JL25 00:00–03:00

So far, there haven’t been any reported illnesses, but “accidental alcohol consumption” is serious, especially if kids or teens have access to energy drinks in your fridge.

If you spot a mislabeled can, don’t drink it. Contact consumerrelations@highnoonvodka.com for info and a possible refund.

One thing’s for sure… whoever did the final quality check on this batch probably isn’t feeling too energized right now.
