Check Out the Floating Mariachi Festival This Weekend
Road trip to San Antonio this weekend!
The San Antonio Riverwalk is one of our favorite road trip destinations, and we've ridden the floating boats on the Riverwalk dozens of time, but THIS WEEKEND, the Riverwalk will be filled with the wonderful live music of mariachi bands and traditional Folklorico dancers and you can get front row tickets by just heading to San Antonio and walking the river! Admission is FREE.
You can experience all of the fun of the floating mariachi bands starting Thursday through Saturday from 7 to 9 pm all along the San Antonio Riverwalk during the Ford Mariachi Festival event.
Fiesta San Antonio details their event by saying, "For three nights, local middle and high school Mariachi students perform on floating barges, entertaining visitors to the River Walk. The festival provides student musicians an opportunity to gain experience entertaining large crowds and also boosts the festive atmosphere for Fiesta revelers."
"Experience the spirit of a San Antonio tradition with Ford Floating Mariachis on the River Walk. As you visit the River Walk, let familiar sounds of Mariachi Music and the rhythm of Folklorico dancing entertain you as you dine on your favorite restaurant patio," the Ford Mariachi website offers.
