It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for; it might finally be hoodie weather in Victoria. A weak cold front could finally bring cooler air to Victoria, with lows dipping near the 50s for the first time this fall.

After weeks of humid nights and blazing hot days stuck in the 90s, a light cold front is making its way through South Texas, bringing the first real taste of fall to the Crossroads.
According to the National Weather Service, skies will stay mostly clear tonight with temperatures dropping to around 63–64°F. Some outlying areas could briefly touch the upper 50s before sunrise, something we  haven’t felt in months.

As we get deeper into October, there’s hope that Fall weather will settle in for the season and not just tease up briefly at night. This week, winds will bring some breeze around 5–8 mph, but will calm down by early morning.

Hold off on the sweaters, but there’s still hope.

It’s not quite a sweater emergency, but after a long stretch of uncomfortable days and Texas heat that still lingers, this subtle shift will feel refreshing. The daytime forecast still calls for highs in the low 80s through midweek, with mostly sunny skies and light breezes.
Meteorologists say another push of Fall weather could arrive late next week, pushing overnight lows even closer to that crispy weather everyone’s been waiting for.
For now, expect mild, pleasant evenings,  perfect for evening walks, softball practice, or finally dusting off those patio string lights.
If you’ve been itching for an excuse to break out your favorite hoodie or make a late-night hot chocolate run, this might be it. Victoria’s long summer grip is finally starting to loosen, thank goodness!
