TX Shooter Opens Fire After Yelling She’ll “Blow This Sucker Up”
Dallas Love Field Airport was filled with panic and delays Monday morning after a woman pulled out a gun and started shooting multiple rounds. 37-year-old Portia Odufuwa was dropped off at the Dallas airport just before 11 am by an unknown driver.
THE DISTRESSING RANT
Once arriving at the airport she went into the restroom, changed clothing, then walked out wearing a hoody and began acting strange. Witnesses nearby say she began ranting about her cheating husband, "She basically said her announcement, talking about her husband was cheating or something,” said Colby James, who was standing near Odufuwa.
After Odufuwa finished going off about her cheating husband witnesses said she then claimed she was going to, “blow this sucker up.”
FIRING MULTIPLE ROUNDS
Odufuwa then pulled out a gun and began recklessly shooting inside the airport. Passengers inside the airport immediately began to flee the area, “We were running. There were 10-12 more shots after that," witness Colby James explained.
Once Odufuwa fired multiple rounds she was quickly taken down by officers who shot her in her lower body. "At this point, we don't know where exactly the individual was aiming. From what we are seeing she was aiming at the ceiling," Dallas Chief of Police Eddie Garcia explained, "There are several rounds that were found."
A STRING OF SERIOUS CRIMES
This is not the first serious crime Odufuwa has been involved in. Her files are riddled with arrests from arson, robbery, criminal trespass, and false reporting across North Texas, according to the Dallas Morning News.
In 2019, she admitted to setting a home on fire, however, due to the lack of scientific evidence, no charges were pressed. Odufuwa explained she set the home on fire because she was "God's Prophet."
In 2021, she was accused of pulling a fire alarm at a hotel that refused to extend her stay. While in custody she gave officers the address of Chris Brown's mansion claiming it was her home.
