DeTar’s Family Medicine Residency Program just wrapped up its 2025 graduation ceremony, and eight brand new doctors are officially out in the world, ready to serve.

After three years of training, rotating through specialties, and taking care of local patients at the Family Medicine Center, this team is more than ready for what’s next.

The best part? Two of them are staying right here in Victoria!

Dr. Mark Anthony Gonzalez and Dr. Angela Rodriguez will both be practicing at the brand-new DeTar Medical Group Primary Care Clinic East. The clinic opens August 1 inside the new Health & Wellness building on the UHV/Texas A&M-Victoria campus.

They'll be serving students, staff, and the public — and we’re pumped to see them continue making a difference in our own backyard.

Here’s where the rest of the Class of 2025 is heading:

  • Dr. Francesca Lucia Gray-de Haan – heading to Corpus Christi to practice outpatient care.
  • Dr. Quang-Tuan (Matthew) Tran – returning to Houston to practice outpatient primary care.
  • Dr. Llybe Lobido – joining the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Humble, TX.
  • Dr. Waleed Chaudhary – off to Pittsburg, TX, to work at UT Tyler’s Rural Health Clinic.
  • Dr. Raad Al-Awamleh – starting his practice in Tulsa, OK.
  • Dr. Harneet Ranauta – heading out west to join Kaiser Permanente in Orange County, CA.

A huge congratulations to all eight graduates and extra love to the ones who are sticking around, Victoria is lucky to have you.
