Golden Crescent Golden Crescent Habitat for Humanity (GCHFH) is a non-profit Christian ecumenical housing ministry that builds, quality, simple, decent houses in cooperation with low-income homebuyers and the Golden Crescent Region. Our mission is: “Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build Homes, Communities and Hope.” GCHFH is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.

Volunteers and the future GCHFH homeowners build the houses, which are funded by individuals, foundations, corporations, and churches. Qualified low-income families purchase their homes at cost and repay the mortgage over thirty years at 0% interest. These mortgages create a sustainable funding source for the organization and are used to help build additional houses for other needy families. The funds also offset operating costs ensuring the continued success of the organization and its mission. To date 96 homes have been constructed in the five-county service area of South Texas, which includes: Victoria, Goliad, Jackson, Lavaca and Dewitt.
