Tragedy struck a quiet San Antonio neighborhood Monday afternoon, where an elderly man and woman were found dead inside a residence.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies were dispatched to the 7100 block of Quarter Moon around 1:55 p.m. following a report of a loud noise from within the home.

POLICE DISCOVER GUNSHOT WOUNDS ON VICTIMS

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the bodies of the elderly couple, both of whom had sustained gunshot wounds. Authorities believe the victims were in a relationship. Two additional individuals, who are thought to be family members, were also present at the scene during the incident.

While no suspects are currently in custody, investigators have stated that there is no ongoing threat to the surrounding neighborhood. The investigation remains active as authorities work to piece together the circumstances leading to this tragic event.

A shooting between two roommates led Corpus Christi police to a late-night stand off.

39-year-old Jamie Sandidge barricaded herself inside her apartment as police pulled up to her home. Sandidge shot her 44-year-old roommate and refused to turn herself in to the police.
