Check Out Some Terrifying Giant Squid Footage

With the ability to grow over 50-feet long (holding eyes that are equal to the size of dinner plates) this video -- featuring an enormous squid filmed more than 3,000 feet deep into the ocean -- proves that Jaws might be the least of our problems. 

The nightmare-creator was filmed by a Japanese crew as part of a project hitting the Discovery Channel later in the month. Our guess is the working title is, 'Things That Are Likely To Scare You To Death.'

Imagine how big of a plate you'd need for this much calamari! Luckily, you'd most likely be able to use its eyes as the dinnerware.
