1. Electrolytes Before You Do Anything Else

Your body isn’t just thirsty, it’s starved of essential minerals. My personal favorite Liquid IV can’t help replace what alcohol drains, and they work way faster than water alone.

2. Carbs + Protein the Morning After

I know greasy foods feel right, at the time but wait!  Eggs, toast, potatoes, anything that has the power combo of energy + stability.

3. Ibuprofen or Aspirin (Never Tylenol After Drinking)

A headache may be one of the most miserable hangover symptoms. Skip Tylenol after drinking, it’s rough on your liver when alcohol’s still in your system.

4. Ginger or Peppermint for Nausea Relief

Ginger tea, ginger ale, peppermint tea, or even mint gum. They help calm your stomach so you don’t have to sit on the bathroom floor evaluating your life choices.

5. Sleep: The Only True Cure

Nap, nap, and more naps. Your body literally detoxes while you sleep, so even 30 minutes can flip the switch.

BONUS: My Personal Hangover-Prevention Cocktail

This routine has saved my life more than once:

  • Chug water between drinks- we’re preventing dehydration!
  • Asprin before you call it a night– Helps you wake up without a skull-crushing headache.
  • Dramamine when you wake up– Stops the spins, the nausea, which are my personal most hated symptom.

Is it scientific? Maybe not. Does it work? Ehh, sometimes but it’s worth a shot!
