MASSIVE AMOUNT OF CLEANING PRODUCTS RECALLED
You might want to double-check your cleaning supplies when you get home- and let you're abuelita know too. The infamous brand Fabulosa has just issued a huge recall on some of its cleaning products.
WHY WAS A RECALL ISSUED?
According to Consumer Safety Product Commission(CPSC), "the recalled products can contain Pseudomonas species bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas fluorescens, which are environmental organisms found widely in soil and water."
WHAT ARE THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS?
Those who have the most potential of being affected are people with weakened immune systems, those who have external medical devices, or people with underlying lung conditions.
Here are some ways the bacteria can be transmitted:
- Inhaled
- Through the eyes
- Break in the skin
Most healthy people will not be affected, however, those with weak systems can face serious infection.
HOW TO CHECK IF YOUR PRODUCT IS CONTAMINATED
Certain 'Fabuloso Multi-Purpose Cleaners are affected. You can check the lot code on the back of the bottle. The code will be above the label.
