H-E-B Issues Recall On Nearly 94,000 Lbs of Meat in Their Stores
The timing couldn't be worse. H-E-B has just issued a recall on some pretty high-demand products.
H-E-B SUPPLIER ISSES MASSIVE RECALL
Shelves begin to get empty during the holidays and now, you can expect certain areas to be wiped out completely. One of the H-E-B food suppliers, Tyson Food Inc., has just issued a massive recall on nearly 94,000 lbs of ground beef.
THE RECALL
Tyson issued a recall after discovering potential foreign matter, "mirror-like material" may have been exposed to massive amounts of ground beef in their Amarillo facility. Luckily, the company was able to pinpoint the potentially affected batch.
WHICH BRANDS ARE AFFECTED
Two major brands could have been exposed to the foreign material:
- Hill Country Fare
- H-E-B brand
H-E-B identified three specific ground beef products that were potentially exposed:
- 5 lb chubs of HCF 73% ground beef
- 10 lb chubs of HCF 73% ground beef
- 5 lb chubs of H-E-B ground chuck
FURTHER IDENTIFICATION
If you have any of the above products, you can pinpoint if your beef is part of the recall by looking at its freeze date. The batches of meat will have a freeze date of 11/25/2022.
