A Houston postal worker was killed after a hit-and-run accident pinned him down underneath his mail truck.

Robert Jones was working his normal route in a Houston neighborhood when he was suddenly struck by an SUV. As Jones was making a left turn, a white SUV that was driving behind him tried swerving around 

Jones, was on his normal route when an SUV tried to go around another car and Jones' postal truck. The white SUV was caught on video swerving around Jones in his postal vehicle and ramming into the side of it.

The crash caused Jones to run into a ditch and he was thrown from the vehicle. Witnesses immediately came running to aid as Jones was pinned underneath his postal vehicle. Sadly, Jones died in the crash.

Meanwhile, the video also shows the white SUV slowly creeping away from the scene. Eventually the SUV speeds away but not before witnesses wrote down their license plate. Police received the license plate number and were able to track down the owner of the vehicle, however, there was an issue.

Police tracked down the owners of the vehicle and went to visit them at their listed address. The person who owns the vehicle claimed it was stolen. The family of Jones is seeking justice and pushing for more information and investigation into the fatal crash that took Jones away from his 4-year-old daughter.
