While there's many foods in Texas, sometimes they need something a little extra.

While there's so many different foods to eat in the Lone Star State, not all foods are eaten the way they are served. They could be edited by the person before consumed. What do we mean by that?

Well, the person in question could add something to it, like salt or pepper. Or if one is eating chips, perhaps have some salsa with it. But some like their food a little bite more spicy, and put some hot sauce on their food before eating it.

One of the sauces loved by many is none other than sriracha. However, weather issues have caused a complete stop in the production of one very famous company's sauce.

Huy Fong Foods Has Made An Announcement Regarding Their Sriracha

For those who the sriracha made by Huy Fong Foods, it seems Mother Nature is set to make a difference. Per USA Today, the company has recently stated the sauce isn't in production anymore at the time of writing. The reason is the previously mentioned involvement of Mother Nature.

Due to a lack of rain in Mexico, the peppers used to make the sriracha sauce aren't red enough. Huy Fong Foods said of this situation: “After reevaluating our supply of chili, we have determined that it is too green to proceed with production as it is affecting the color of the product."

How long will the production drought last though? Huy Fong Foods won't make any more sriracha until after Labor Day. Many are worried this could cause an issue in supply.

Hopefully everyone will be able to enjoy the hot sauce without a shortage in Texas!
