Kanye West Is Back in Wyoming Recording Music on the Mountaintop
Kanye West has returned to the mountaintop.
According to TMZ, he flew out of L.A. on Wednesday, back to the secluded home he's renting in Wyoming, which is on a literal mountaintop to finish up work on his forthcoming projects.
He currently has five on the way, the first of which—Pusha T's long-awaited King Push— is due on May 25. In a series of tweets last month, Kanye also announced that he will release his eighth solo album on June 1, the follow up to 2016's Life of Pablo. In his interview with Charalamagne Tha God, he admitted that his connection with radio hasn't been the same since his feud with Taylor Swift.
"Every since the Taylor Swift moment it just never been the same—the connection with radio. It's like whatever powers that be, it was much harder after that," he admitted.
Kanye's second project will be a joint album with Kid Cudi under their group name Kids See Ghosts. That album will drop a week later, on June 8. Nas and Teyana Taylor's albums are both scheduled for June as well. All the albums will feature seven tracks, with production entirely produced by Kanye.
And as for the recent flurry his "slavery was a choice" comments sparked, Kanye is reportedly cool with it all because it encouraged dialogue.
