Man Tragically Killed in Freak Accident at Texas Golf Course
A freak accident at a Texas golf course left a 72-year-old man dead.
Robert Andrew Rowton and two others were at The Club at Sonterra in San Antonio on Monday. According to a report, the golf cart had a previous issue and the three were testing out the mechanics.
A FATAL ACCIDENT ON THE GOLF COURSE
Things turned a fatal turn as the golf cart traveled up a steep hill on the course. The front of the gold cart suddenly lifted off the ground, causing the cart to roll backward and tip over.
Rowton, who was sitting in the back, was trapped underneath the cart. The driver and passenger were flung from the cart and sustained multiple serious injuries.
ALL 3 PASSANGERS SERIOUSLY INJURED
When officers and emergency crews showed up they found Rowton unresponsive and pronounced him dead. The driver and front-seat passenger who were both ejected from the cart, were hospitalized.
The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined, pending investigation by the Medical Examiner.
