New ‘Mr. Peabody & Sherman’ Trailer and Clip
Mr. Peabody has 99 talents but keeping his "pet" out of trouble ain't one. Yeah, that was lame but fitting considering that the awkward dad of 'Modern Family,' Ty Burrell, voices the genius talking dog. DreamWorks released a new 'Mr. Peabody & Sherman' trailer, which chronicles the time travels of him and his human (voiced by Max Charles), as well as a clip showing off the canine's wide range of talents.
Burrell and Charles, who if you recall played a young Peter Parker in the Andrew Garfield-led 'The Amazing Spider-Man,' are joined by another member of the 'Modern Family,' Ariel Winter, playing Sherman's kid crush, Penny Peterson. When her and her family visit the pair's home, Sherman tries to impress her by taking her to see the Way Back Machine (aka a time machine). And, of course, as the trailer shows, they travel back in time, rewrite history ... you know, as expected when someone leaves such a precious invention accessible to children.
Fandango also debuted the first clip from the film, showing off a bit of footage to come, and Mr. Peabody's musical stylings and chiropractic skills. Also featured in the clip are 'The Colbert Report' host Stephen Colbert voicing Penny's dad and Leslie Mann as Penny's mom. All in all, given the casting variety and the previews, this looks to be the family film to see in the coming months.
'Mr. Peabody & Sherman' will debut in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters come March 7.
