The charges are connected to an incident that occurred on September 23, 2021. On September 23, 2021, the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office responded to a house fire in the 1100 Block of Northside Road. During the course of the fire investigation, it was determined that there was an apparent victim of murder inside the residence. The victim was identified as Loren Nichole Chacon, a 36-year-old female from Victoria.
Sheriff Marr would like to commend VCSO’s Criminal Investigation Division, Patrol Division, and Crime Scene Unit on their dedication and hard work during this investigation. #justicefornicole

MORE ABOUT THE HOME OF THE SUSPECT:

The mobile home often showcased oddity art of sorts on the front lawn of the now burned residence on Northside Rd. Neighbors on Northside as well as those further residing on Parsons and Levi Sloan often paused as they drove along Northside Rd to stare bewildered at the unusual front lawn which often featured an abundance of stacked rocks, pinatas tied upside down on dead palm trees, and other unusual items. In this way, this was a well-known residence in the area. Ingra Lee drives by this home every morning on her way to work.
